How to tell if you have a rodent problem
Seems obvious enough right? But do you really know all of the main signs of a rodent problem happening in your home. Rats can be bold in their actions to let you know they are present in your space, but can also be a bit sneaky.
Here are some of the main signs that you have a rodent infestation happening under your roof.
Rodent droppings. Resembling tiny pellets often found by food packaging, in drawers, pantries, and under sinks.
Holes in the walls, or torn screens. Rats have no problem fitting into holes as small as a quarter. Don’t overlook the smallest of holes in walls or foundations.
Tears in screens of windows or doors.
Chewed through and empty food packaging.
Material used for nesting. Shredded up paper, dried plants, etc.
Urine odor
House hold pet(s) acting strange lately? They could too be sensing a rodent near by.
Allergies acting up? Rodent fur and droppings could be causing a rise in allergic reactions.
Rats leave grease marks created by their fur. Unexplained marks may be a rodent trail.
Noise of scampering, chewing, and scratching, throughout the house, in the attic, walls, and basement.
Rodents can leave behind a great amount of evidence that they have taken residence in your home, you just need to know what you are looking for.
