Get to know Steven from the Black Knight Pest Control Crew in October’s Edition of
“Meet the Crew.”
Heading into the interview with Steven I already knew Steven has been with the Temecula company for quite some time. When I asked just how long he has been with Black Knight Pest Control Steven said,
“This September I will have now been with Black Knight for 9 years.”
Steven first got is start in the Pest Control business with Western Exterminator in Palm Springs. Needless to say, we are so glad that Steven later made his way over to Black Knight Pest Control here in Riverside County.
I was curious as to what Steven’s typical day looks like. Let’s say it consistent of everything, and anything to do with pests. From spiders, to gophers, Steven tackles them all.
“I have anywhere from 14-18 stops on my pest route per day. Much of the time I provided gopher treatment to local Temecula vineyards, and residential homes. To name a few, Wilsons Creek, Monte De Oro, Lorimar, Europa, and The Long Shadow, are some of the wineries I service in Temecula’s Wine Country. I also take care of a large company called a Avantstay Airbnb, servicing around 12 accounts. General rodent and pest control service is a daily duty for me among residential homes in the Riverside area.”
Basically Steven is a man of all trades. Providing genuine Pest Control Customer Service, professional extermination, and topping it off with regular pest sales. If you have a pest question, Steven has your answer.
When it comes down to which pest creeps Steven out the most his answer came quickly.
“Earwigs give me the heebie-jeebies!”
After many years with Black Knight Pest Control I asked Steven what he felt he enjoyed most about the job.
“Interacting with customers and the Black Knights staff, It's like one big family here. Black Knight is like my second family!”
That just says so much about the company as a whole.
I wondered, what is your goal at Black Knight Pest Control? Long term or short. Steven’s answer was simple.
To have another great 9 years with Black Knight!
My last question for our interview was what Steven enjoyed to do most on his off time?
I spend time a lot of my off time with my daughter Mia, (age15) and son Steven Jr. (age 30), along with family, and friends. I try to catch up on some sleep since I typically work 6 days a week every week. (hahaha)
I enjoyed my time getting to know Steven and his time with the company. I could see Black Knight Pest Control is like a family to him, as it goes for most all the employees on the team. Wishing Steven all the “Pest Successes,” though I think he has that I the bag. Word is that ALL his clients sing his praises. Customers service is definitely one of Steven’s strong suits.
